Mike has a passion for the game of golf and the golf business. He has played many of the top courses
throughout North America and Europe, and in 1983 purchased the Dundee Golf and Country Club which
over the following 20 years he transformed into the golf destination in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
Now as Cobble Beach’s Director of Operations, Mike’s mission is to repeat what he accomplished
earlier in his golf business career – establish Cobble Beach Golf Links as golf destination of
choice in southwestern Ontario, by exceeding the expectations of every player on every visit.
JOHN ANDERSON
Vice President & Project Manager
It seems John Anderson has been building golf courses all his life, and great ones at that. During his tenure at Evans Golf and T.D.I. International, well respected golf course construction and remodeling companies operating throughout Canada and the United States, he was instrumental in the construction of over 30 new courses and over 100 remodeling projects. Such projects include the construction of the Magna Golf Course, the Osprey Valley Courses, Rocky Crest Resort Courses and remodelling assignments at Oakland Hills Country Club, St. Georges Golf & Country Club. and the Lost Tree Club.
John has a proven track record of producing high quality, award-winning projects. Now Cobble Beach Golf Links has been added to his list of great golf course builds.
WARREN THOMAS
Head Golf Professional
Growing up near Owen Sound, Warren always hoped to return to his golf roots after he graduated from university. Fifteen years later with a well established private club pedigree, Warren is back home as the Head Golf Professional for Cobble Beach Golf Links.
Warren began his career as an assistant at the private Idylwylde Golf Club in 1995 at the same time he joined the Canadian Professional Golf Association. Professional positions at York Downs and the Thornhill Golf and Country Club, and the opportunity to be the Director of Golf for Horseshoe Resort’s 36- hole semi-private golf club, accelerated his private club experience – and made him a perfect choice for Head Golf Professional for a course of the calibre of Cobble Beach.
DIANNE WRIGHT
Manager of Finance and Administration

Dianne leads the financial services department for Georgian Villas Inc. and Cobble Beach Golf Links.
Her responsibilities include managing day to day accounting, administration and IT functions
for the rapidly expanding Cobble Beach organization. Dianne is a long-time resident of
Owen Sound and her wide-ranging experience comes from her tenure as a Revenue Analyst at
Heritage Place Shopping Centre and as an Accounting Supervisor at P&H Foods.
While raising her family, Dianne stills finds time to upgrade her skills and is currently
working towards her Certified General Accountant designation. Dianne's idea of a great day on
the links involves three golf clubs and her camera to better capture the incredible views at
Cobble Beach.
JERITT RANEY
Executive Chef
The finishing touch of a great round of golf is a great food experience. With Executive Chef Jeritt Raney, Cobble Beach delivers a dining experience to match 18 holes of exhilarating golf.
A graduate of Georgian College in Culinary Management, Jeritt is putting the final touches on accreditation for his “Certified Chef de Cuisine”. He trained and began to expand his culinary skills in Muskoka as executive sous chef at the Severn Lodge, followed by a six-year term as executive chef at the Royal Canadian Military Institute in Toronto.†He was scouted by Cobble Beach’s Mike Doyle when he was performing his magic at the “oasis in the wilderness” E’Terra on the Bruce at Tobermory, where he was born and raised.
Jeritt has all the skills of a good Canadian boy. He shared the ice and boyhood hockey with Curtis Sanford†of the St. Louis Blues, and is a wicked fisherman. His smile, good nature and sense of fun are as warm and witty as his food.

Manager, The Inn at Cobble Beach

detail. Jeff Hodge, Manager, The Inn at Cobble Beach has proven he has energy, passion and
experience to make every visit to our inn a memorable and enjoyable one.
Jeff mastered his people and customer service skills as Guest Services Manager for The
Grand Niagara Resort and The Ridge at Manitou before arriving at Cobble Beach. One visit to The
Inn at Cobble Beach, and Jeff will have you convinced to return again and again.
Jeff is an excellent golfer with plenty of Cobble Beach course knowledge.
He is also the go to guy for information about Cobble Beach golf memberships.
SOPHIE DOUGLAS
Restaurant and Banquet Manager, Sweetwater at Cobble Beach
Managing a great restaurant requires special talent and experience.
Sophie Douglas, Restaurant and Banquet Manager for Sweetwater at
Cobble Beach, has both. Before joining the Cobble Beach team, Sophie
owned and operated the popular 27 on Fourth Restaurant and Bar in
Collingwood which she sold to make time for her young family.
Sophie’s experience with some of the finest and best known
restaurants and hotels in the country laid the foundation for her own
successful restaurant venture. They included Canoe Restaurant and The
Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto; the Chateau Whistler Resort; and the
Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver. Sophie is a graduate of the
Hospitality and Tourism Management program at Malaspina University
College in Nanaimo, British Columbia
LINDSAY HAGARTY
Manager, The Spa at Cobble Beach
Inn guests and Day Spa visitors experience the soothing atmosphere and restorative energy
created by Spa Manager Lindsay Hagarty and her team of skilled therapists.
Lindsay graduated in Business from Conestoga College and Spa Management & Esthetics from Sheridan
College. She worked in a small luxury spa in Guelph for one year prior to relocating to
Ottawa for a two-year management position with The Spa Day Retreat, a large prestigious spa.
For Lindsay, The Spa at Cobble Beach is both a return home and the ideal spa to practice her skills.
In her leisure time, Lindsay enjoys skiing and winter sports and is looking forward to working
on her golf swing at Cobble Beach.
KARI GRIFFITHS
Hospitality & Wedding Coordinator
Kari was destined to become the Cobble Beach Hospitality & Wedding Coordinator. Growing up in Collingwood, she graduated from the Georgian College in Barrie with a Business Administration Marketing Diploma, then retuned home to the Osler Bluff Ski Club where she was an event planner for four years. During that period she completed the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada program and became a WPIC Certified Wedding Planner.

Doug Carrick and Carrick Design Inc. has designed and remodeled golf courses that are the ‘Who’s Who’ of Canadian golf. Cobble Beach Golf Links is now among them along with such prestigious names as Capilano, Eagles Nest, Angus Glen North, St. George’s, King Valley, Osprey Valley and Bigwin Island.
As one Canada’s leading golf course architects, Doug Carrick has a unique eye for developing each site into a spectacular golf course while maintaining the character of the site. His eye imagined “Pebble Beach” when he first visited the Cobble Beach site and he has created a layout that embodies the classical elements of a seaside links.

Clubhouse Architect
Richard Wengle Architects Inc. (RWA) has become a mover and shaker in golf clubhouse design and building since expanding into this area from its custom residential architectural business.
RWA’s clubhouse projects are each inspired by the context of the site and the golf course. The inspiration for the Cobble Beach Clubhouse Inn stems from the course’s gorgeous site along the rugged Georgian Bay shoreline.
The clubhouse, icon lighthouse, and starter’s and halfway complements the heritage of local traditional architecture and establishes the classic character of the Cobble Beach development.
RWA’s penchant for authenticity in its attention to architectural detail can be seen in clubhouse projects throughout Ontario including Mad River, Granite, Rocky Crest and Grandview golf clubs to name a few.
