John Anderson

It seems John Anderson has been building great golf courses all his life. During his tenure at Evans Golf and TDI International, two of the most well respected golf course construction and remodeling companies operating throughout Canada and the United States, he was instrumental in the construction of over 30 new courses and over 100 remodeling projects. These projects included the construction of the Magna Golf Course, the Osprey Valley Courses, Rocky Crest Resort Courses and remodeling assignments at Oakland Hills Country Club, St. Georges Golf & Country Club and the Lost Tree Club. John has a proven track record of producing high quality, award-winning projects. Now Cobble Beach Golf Links has been added to his list of great accomplishments. While with Cobble Beach, John has acted as the Project Manager during the construction of the development infrastructure including the Waste Water Treatment Plant, roads, water treatment plant expansion and of course the construction of the fabulous golf course facilities. Most recently, John is using his management experience in his new capacity as Cobble Beach's General Manager.

Warren Thomas
Head Golf Professional and Membership Director
Growing up near Owen Sound, Warren had always hoped to return to his roots after he graduated from university. Fifteen years later with a well-established private club pedigree, Warren is back home as the Head Golf Professional for Cobble Beach Golf Links. Warren started his career, in 1995, as an assistant pro at the private Idylwylde Golf Club, coincidentally, the same time he joined the Canadian Professional Golf Association. Professional positions at York Downs and the Thornhill Golf and Country Club followed and the opportunity to be the Director of Golf for Horseshoe Resort's 36 hole semi-private golf club accelerated his private club experience. This made him the perfect choice as Head Golf Professional for a high calibre, award-winning course such as Cobble Beach.
Lindsay Hagarty
Manager, The Spa at Cobble Beach
Inn guests and day spa visitors experience the soothing atmosphere and restorative energy created by Spa Manager Lindsay Hagarty and her team of skilled therapists. Lindsay graduated in Business from Conestoga College and Spa Management & Esthetics from Sheridan College. She worked in a small luxury spa in Guelph for one year then relocated to Ottawa for a two-year management position with The Spa Day Retreat, a large prestigious spa. For Lindsay, The Spa at Cobble Beach is both a return home and the ideal spa to display her skills. In her leisure time, Lindsay enjoys skiing and Winter sports and is looking forward to working on her golf swing at Cobble Beach.
Mike Doyle
Ambassador at Large
Special thanks to Mike Doyle whose passion for the game of golf and the golf business and his vision helped transform Cobble Beach into one of the finest golfing and residential communities in Canada. He has played many of the top courses throughout North America and Europe and in 1983 purchased the Dundee Golf and Country Club which over the following 20 years he and his team transformed into the premier golf destination in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Now as Cobble Beach's Ambassador at Large, Mike's mission is to repeat what he accomplished earlier in his career - continuing to build Cobble Beach Golf Links' reputation as the golf destination of choice in Southwestern Ontario, by exceeding the expectations of every player on every visit.
Doug Carrick
Course Architect
Doug Carrick has designed and remodeled golf courses that are the "Who's Who" of Canadian and international golf. Cobble Beach Golf Links is now in the league along with such prestigious names as Capilano, Eagles Nest, Angus Glen North, St. George's, King Valley, Osprey Valley, Bigwin Island and the recently opened The Carrick in Scotland. As one Canada's leading golf course architects, Doug Carrick has a unique eye for developing each site into a spectacular golf course while maintaining the natural beauty and character of the site. His eye imagined "Pebble Beach" when he first visited the Cobble Beach site. He has created a layout that embodies the classic elements of a seaside links course.
Richard Wengle
Clubhouse Architect
Since expanding his practice from custom residential design to include clubhouse architecture and design, Richard Wengle Architects Inc., (RWA) has become one of the industry's most respected and influential practitioners. RWA's clubhouse projects are each inspired by the context of the site and the golf course. The inspiration for the Inn at Cobble Beach Clubhouse stems from the course's dramatic waterfront site along the rugged Georgian Bay shoreline. The Clubhouse, iconic lighthouse and starter's and halfway houses (Captain's and Admiral Owen's Houses respectively) complement the heritage of local traditional architecture and establishes the Nantucket-style characteristic of the Cobble Beach development. RWA's penchant for authenticity in its attention to architectural detail can be seen in clubhouse projects throughout Ontario including Mad River, Granite, Rocky Crest and Grandview golf clubs to name a few.
