Set amid the natural splendour of the southern shores of Georgian Bay, the City of Owen Sound offers all the pleasures of a vibrant urban community surrounded by a four season outdoor playground. The striking water of the Sound, edged by the limestone bluffs of the Niagara Escarpment and its lush green forests, is a breathtakingly beautiful environment that Owen Sounders and their visitors take full advantage of year-round, whether it's golfing, fishing, sightseeing, boating, hiking on the Bruce Trail or to the many waterfalls or lighthouses in the area, snowshoeing, cross country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, climbing, or simply relaxing on the beach.

Owen Sound is a cultural hub for the Grey-Bruce region, offering live theatre, an amazing array of artists' studios, galleries and museums, restaurants, boutiques, specialty shops and malls.

A feature none of us want to have to use but very handy to have nearby is the regional hospital at Owen Sound, which is fully equipped with the latest MRI machines and fourteen radiologists, located less than fifteen minutes from Cobble Beach.

Only a short day-trip from the Golden Horseshoe, the Hwy. 401 corridor and the United States (two hours from Toronto's Pearson International airport), Owen Sound has a variety of accommodation for those who choose to stay longer. A range of quality hotels and motels, quaint B&Bs, cottages and, of course, The Inn at Cobble Beach, are available to suit your needs.

Visit the City of Owen Sound website and the Township of Georgian Bluffs website for more information.
